Nadia and Mr. M's honeymoon

Nadia and her dear husband recently went on there honeymoon to Costa Rica for two weeks.....here is what happened:

Me and Mr. M went to Ontario and Costa Rica for two weeks for our honeymoon. Mr. M is from Ontario so we paid a surprise visit to his family. They had no idea we were coming. Well actually a few weeks earlier Mr. M was talking to his sister and he was asking when she was working after the holidays. So she was on to us and wasn't surprised when we showed up at her house. We had a lovely time visiting the family. We only get to see them once or twice a year, so it was nice to see them around the holidays.

While we were in Toronto we decided to go to the CN tower. Last time we were there we went to the base of the tower but didn't feel like paying the $70 it would have cost us to go up it. The CN tower strikes me as one of those things that you just have to do once in your life time. Mr. M had been up it before but I never had. There is a restaraunt up there that spins around so if you eat in the restaraunt you can go up for free. So we paid $55 each for lunch so we could go up for free. After lunch we went to the observation level, and i was thinking to myself "$70 is a lot of money to come up here, and there really isn't $70 worth of stuff to do up here." Long story short we had a great lunch up the CN tower.

Being in Costa Rica for two weeks was just what we needed. Whenever I go to some really hot place I think to myself "If I never see another flake of snow again in my life I would be just thrilled". Now you are probably thinking to yourself "well why does she live in Revelstoke then?" This is the typical response I get when I tell people i don't like winter. Even though we get 6 month of winter and only 2 months of summer Revelstoke is my home and i will never leave. The only thing i don't like about living here is the winter. I love everything else about living here. My friends and family are here, my job is here and my life is here. So i guess i can put up with the 6 month long winter.

While in Costa Rica we didn't do much. A lot of time was spent laying by the pool and the beach. We did go on a few day trips but nothing too serious. I found it quite expensive. Even where the locals shop. Food was reasonably priced but clothing and souvenirs were very expensive. Now we are back home, and the day after we got back we got a foot of snow. Oh well such is life. Lucky for me it looks like spring is just around the corner.  Here are a few photos from our trip.
